A crowd gathered at the Henderson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Rutledge, Thursday, May 17 as Todd Morgan of the East Tennessee Preservation Alliance unveiled its "2018 East Tennessee Endangered 8." The church was constructed in 1890 from the logs of Grainger County's first courthouse. It is the oldest African American church building in the county.
